The FA Cup Final against Arsenal kicks off at 11:30am this Saturday May 27th! Chelsea are seeking the 8th FA Cup in club history, the most recent being a 2-1 victory over Liverpool in 2012. Here are the details:
-Hudson's opens its doors at 8:15am. We expect a large turnout that may exceed capacity by kickoff, so arrive plenty early. Vocal supporters are encouraged to join us in the back room, while those simply watching the match are encouraged to sit up front.
-Hudson's has generously set up a drink package for us from 10:30a-2:30p. For $45, it's unlimited Carlsberg, Green Line, Stella, Uncle John's ciders, and bottles of Miller/Bud heavy and light, plus a breakfast sandwich included! (This deal is optional - normal menu options & pricing are in effect otherwise) -End of season raffle is open to all Chelsea supporters, with prizes including a signed Chelsea shirt, two regular 16/17 Chelsea shirts (one home, one away,) Chelsea Chicago scarves, flags and stickers, and more. Raffle tickets will be available for $5 each, limit one per person, CASH ONLY; see Brian to purchase. (NOTE: The ATM near the front door has been removed, please bring cash ahead of time.) -We'll have Chelsea tunes and popular terrace hits on the juke before/after kickoff, curated thanks to our resident DJs, Brandy and Justin Olund. -The JT banner will be up and available for photo ops with anyone wanting to commemorate his final match as a Chelsea player.
-Large amounts of singing are encouraged. Our website has a great catalog of songs if you need to brush up on that one line you can't understand over TV.
Notes on Atmosphere/Behavior: -Chelsea supporters of all ages are welcome to join us. If you have children, please remember it's a sporting event at a bar - it will be loud and foul language used often. If you have concerns, you're more than welcome but recommend you watch the match in the front room which is more casual.
-You're welcome to bring flags/banners, but we unfortunately cannot hang them due to space restrictions.
-The outdoor patio areas will be open to enjoy hopeful pleasant weather, but please remember the pub is located around residential property. We ask that you keep singing and foul language to a minimum when outside.
-Abuse of opposition supporters at the pub and any poor behavior reflecting upon our group will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The 2012 Final was one of the best matches we've had at Hudson's in our 5 years there. We have 100+ supporters, copious amounts of singing, and a fantastic result to celebrate. Let's have the same type of day this weekend and provide a great experience for all to enjoy!
